- Prices are for labor. Materials and fixtures are billed at cost unless the estimate says otherwise.
- Estimates are free and written. We confirm the number before we start, and we do not change it mid-job unless you approve extra work.
- Walk-ups, elevator windows, co-op board paperwork and pre-war plaster can affect a quote. We tell you at the estimate, not on the invoice.

The things that change a curtains and blinds job here and rarely come up anywhere else.

Ceilings are not all the same
A concrete slab, a plaster ceiling on furring strips and a dropped gypsum ceiling each take a different anchor and a different amount of time. We identify it before quoting the track.

Window guards stay
New York City requires window guards in apartments where a child ten or under lives. We install around them rather than removing them.

Cord safety
For homes with young children we fit cordless shades or a cord cleat as standard. Say so when you book and we will plan for it.

AC sleeves and radiators
Through-wall AC units and cast-iron radiators under the window change the projection and length you need. Measuring for this is part of the estimate.

How much does curtain installation cost in NYC?
$99 for the first window and $75 for each additional window on the same visit, against $115–$145 typical in New York. Ceiling tracks and ripple-fold systems are $199–$319 per window, and blinds or shades are $89 per unit.
Do you install into concrete and pre-war plaster?
Yes. There is a $30 per window surcharge for concrete or plaster because it needs masonry anchors and takes longer to drill cleanly.
Wall mount or ceiling mount?
Ceiling mount makes a window look taller and gives the cleanest blackout. Wall mount is cheaper and easier to relocate. We will tell you which your ceiling can take.
Can you achieve full blackout?
Close to it, with a ceiling track, generous returns into the wall and enough overlap at the centre. For a true dark room you need side channels, which we quote per window after seeing the reveal.
Do you supply rods and curtains?
We install what you buy. If you tell us the window sizes before you order we will tell you the rod length, projection and curtain drop to buy.
