Measure the doorway, not just the room
Assembled sofas and wardrobes frequently do not fit through a pre-war doorway or up a walk-up stair. Assembly in the room it lives in solves this.

Reserve the freight elevator
Buildings usually restrict deliveries to weekday windows. Book the elevator for the delivery and the assembly if they are on different days.

Anchoring into plaster and concrete
The wall plugs in the box are made for drywall. Pre-war walls need masonry anchors, which we bring.

Where the boxes go
Some buildings will not take flattened cardboard on any day of the week. We check yours and plan disposal into the visit.

How much does furniture assembly cost in NYC?
$75 per hour with a one-hour minimum, against $90–$110 typical in New York. Flat rates are available too: $89 for a dresser, bookcase or desk, $109–$149 for a bed frame, and $239–$429 for a wardrobe or modular closet system.
Is it cheaper by the hour or by the item?
By the hour if you have several boxes in one visit. By the item if it is one large piece. We will tell you which is cheaper for your list before you book.
Do you assemble furniture from any brand?
Yes — IKEA, Wayfair, Article, West Elm, Amazon, anything that arrives flat-packed. If you have the manual we have seen the system before.
Do you anchor furniture to the wall?
Yes, $35 per unit including the right anchor for your wall. We strongly recommend it for any tall unit, and always for a home with young children.
What if a part is missing or damaged?
We find it during the inventory check and tell you immediately so you can start the replacement claim the same day. We will assemble everything we can and come back to finish, or leave it at a safe stopping point.
